This week was WAPPA (Western Australian Professional Photography Awards) held at the Duxton.
The WAPPAs are the premier photography awards in Western Australia. Entrants provide a folio of there three best photographs to be judged by a panel of local experts together with the visiting judges. The panel uses a similar system to the Canon AIPP Australian Professional
Photographer of the Year Awards (APPA) with each print given a score between 50 and 100. Prints scoring 85 and over receive a distinction sash.
This year was my first year attending and submitting work and I was pleasantly surprised as I was awarded a Silver distinction. This is my second award this year and I must say I am a little chuffed. Massive thanks goes out to amazing husband and fabulous friends who have helped me and supported me throughout my life. I really wouldn’t be here without each and every one of you, so thank you.
You can view the complete exhibition at the Central Park building 152-158 St Georges Terrace, Perth
from Monday 14th September to Friday 18th September.
