APPA is the acronym for the Australian Professional Photography Awards, which are held annually in Sydney. Professional photographers from Australia and New Zealand compete for a number of industry awards by submitting four images, which are judged by a panel of their peers.
I was so excited on Sunday when my dear friend Erica Serena SMS me my scores from the APPA’s in Sydney. I was honestly going to be happy with any score over 1. But to find out that my first image judged received a Silver with a score of 80 out of 100, I was blown away and started screaming. My other three images also scored really well in the high 70’s, so I was wrapped.
I know that I am extremely lucky and grateful for the honor to receive this amazing award. I would firstly like to thank all my wonderful clients, who put there faith and trust in me to capture one of the most special days in your life. I am truly blessed to work with each and everyone of you and without you, none of this if possible. I have also been so very fortunate that I have an amazing husband and fabulous friends who have helped me and supported me throughout my life. I really wouldn’t be here without each and every one of you, so thank you.
