Hi everyone. Unfortunately we are experiencing a technical problem with our blog at the moment, which is out of our control. We have contacted the designer and host and to date have not had a response to our repeated requests for assistance. We hope to have the problem sorted ASAP so we can resume blogging. Thanks for your patience.

After months and months of planning, my collaborative exhibition with my amazing friend & awesome photographer Lauren Waye is happening tonight @ Kidogo Arthouse in Fremantle.
4 the exhibition, is our visual story from our four week journey to the USA this past February. The collection features 30 images from each photographer, 60 photographs in total. Each photograph is exclusively printed, signed and matted ready for framing and are only available for the duration of the exhibition.
The exhibition opens this evening from 6.30 - 9.30pm and will continue until the 24th August. The gallery is open for viewings: Sat - Sunday from 10am - 4pm & Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm.
Kidogo Arthouse is located @ Bathers Beach Mews Road Fremantle and entry is via Little High Street due to City of Fremantle’s construction. We hope to see you there.

So its that time of year again, HOLIDAYS, well a whole week off anyway. As of right now, the computers are being turned off and we are going off the grid, ready to hit the open road at 8am tomorrow morning.
No phones, no emails, no internet connection, a little scared about no net, ill be honest which equals no work, YIPPY. We will be away and closing the office until Monday 15th August and will return all emails and calls on our return.

I have been a really bad blogger of late and my only excuse is I have been really busy, so 1000 apologies.
I have had an amazing wedding season since returning from the USA in March and now wedding season is official over its straight into portraits and personal projects until I start wedding season all over again in September.
Now for the important stuff, at long last we have a facebook fan page, so head on over and LIKE the page.
The page is in its initial stages but I will be posting all the blog entries on the page, plus listing the galleries for online viewing. We will also be running special offers and give aways so make sure you stop by and check it out.
Last month we had our national photography awards (APPA) held in Sydney. We each submitted four images, which are judged by a panel of peers. There was over 3100 entries and the judging was difficult. Photographs are judged on a 100 point scale. Anything over 80 points is awarded a silver and is included in the 2011 APPA book published by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I entered 1 photograph in wedding, 2 in illustrative and 1 in the portrait categories. After spending three days watching the judging online, I walked away with another four silvers. I was a little excited to say the least. This year was also a double bonus as I also incurred enough points and received my associate ribbon, so I am smidge closer to getting my masters.
My award photographs are below and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone and anyone that’s involved in my life, for being so supportive and understanding. Extra big love goes out to my Dave, aka the husband, who’s support and love is endless.

ABOUT
First Comes Love (and then comes marriage) is an alternative bridal fair for people planning pledges with parties – chock full of sweetness and sass, inspiration and independent retailers. We celebrate creativity and pooh-pooh carbon-copy weddings. You’ll find an extraordinary collection of exhibitors upstairs in the lovely old Oxford Hotel, smack dab in the middle of the bridal mile in Mt Hawthorn and Leederville.
WHERE & WHEN
Saturday 18th June 2011 – 12 noon to 6pm
Sunday 19th June 2011 – 12 noon to 6pm
Upstairs @ the Oxford Hotel
368 Oxford Street, Leederville, Western Australia 6007
Why the Oxford?
Have you been upstairs at the lovely old Oxford? It has character and personality, super-high ceilings and shiny-shiny floorboards, exposed brickwork and a balcony with great views. It is in the heart of the bridal mile in Mt Hawthorn and Leederville – so why not make a day of it? The parking is easy and the public transport stops right outside.
Plus, there’s method in our madness of hosting First Comes Love at a pub. If your other half is not so keen on frocks and frou frou, let him (or her) stop downstairs with the beer and big-screen sports while you while away some wedding-dedicated hours upstairs.
One word of warning – the stairs are not pram-friendly. So if you’ve taken ‘first comes love’ literally and have a lovely little one, why not treat yourself and book a babysitter? Tell your mum/mum-in-law/sibling/friend we said it was OK.
TICKETS
$5 per person
Payable at the door. Pretty good, huh?!
That’s less than two cups of coffee, a large popcorn at the movies, parking in the city or a new pair of cute shoes. You’ve got no excuse for not coming along. And bringing some friends. Or your mum.
And don’t think it is all about weddings. First Comes Love will give you lots of ideas for engagement parties, 18ths or 21sts or any birthday with a zero, baptisms or naming days or dedications, cocktail parties or any occasion where celebrating is not only encouraged, but mandatory.
